DDLJ Revisited by Humpty Sharma . . . A Review!!
Cast: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Shukla, Ashutosh Rana
Direction: Shashank Khaitan
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Duration: 2 hours 13 minutes

Synopsis: Dulhania in the movie is Kavya Singh and has been played impeccably by (Alia Bhatt) who has oodles of attitude and is a soon to be bride. She is marrying an NRI guy Angad (played by Sidharth). In order to purchase her bridal attire (like that of Kareena kapoor) she sets off to Delhi (from Ambala) and meets Humpty (played by Varun). Kavya is unattainable for Humpty initially, which makes her even more endearing to him. But Gradually, over coffees, cuddles, party and patiala pegs they fall for each other. But knowing her strict and stern father (Aushotosh), Kavya decides to go back and marry Angad.

Humpty decides not to let go love of his life so easily and gears up to win his lady love. He is accompanied by his best friends Shonty and Poplu. With this begins the journey for him that he wouldn't have imagined undertaking even in the wildest of his dreams. Humpty is all set to convince Kavya's family. And then the story unfolds in various sequences in which he tries to win their hearts.

It is Director Shashank's debut film and he does his job decently.  Characters have given their performances fairly well. Alia is spontaneous and full of life. Varun gives his best shot and his work shines through. Sidharth gets a cahrming introduction in Hindi movies but does have much to do and Aushotosh as Alia's father plays his part very convincingly. A tribute to DDLJ, movie is an good watch indeed. It is set in an era of facebook and party sharty and does its job in a fine way.
