FirstDate is a musical short film set to the tunes of Sonu Nigam and Jonita Gandhi

India’s leading fashion social network Roposo and The Moody Nation are taking you back to the era of innocent love with their collaboration on a music video titled ‘First Date’. The song has been voiced by the very talented Sonu Nigam and Jonita Gandhi. The team behind this initiative has earlier worked on films that were a raging success on social media, including 'Jai Hind' (OYO Rooms) starring Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon, and more recently, 'The Homecoming' (Urban Ladder) featuring Piyush Mishra, Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu.

Set in the scenic locales of Udaipur, this video captures the essence of first dates and innocent love stories. In the precarious world of modern dating, a couple takes a step back to stand their ground during adversity and cherish what love truly means. The video aims to usher the future of branded digital content and also make an emotional connect with its consumers.

First Date is an epitome of many firsts. Through this musical short film, The Moody Nation and Roposo have come together for the very first time to create a piece of branded musical content that will transcend a dynamic mix of platforms. First Date premiered its audio on India’s leading music platform Saavn, and  went on to surface on 100+ audio platforms through its partnership with Red Ribbon Entertainment. The video was released across social media platforms to a rousing reception.

Talking about the new campaign, Roposo co-founder and CEO Avinash Saxena said, “Roposo is all about youth, embracing your individuality, and basking in your creative expression. We have seen The Moody Nation's past work and the messages they send across in their videos are quite aligned to our brand philosophy. This album beautifully describes the sincere emotions and fervent expressions  of today’s youth. Speaking about his experience, Sonu Nigam said, “This song beautifully captures the unspoken sweet-nothings of young love. As an artist, I think The Moody Nation is providing a great platform and opportunity to budding talent. Also, I feel we should promote Indie music majorly. I had a wonderful experience working with the team. The song touched my heart and I am sure our audiences will resonate with its romantic melody.”
