TV SHOWS we miss from 90s!!
1. Chandrakanta
A fantasy series with an awesomely catchy Title Song.  From Kroor Singh to Roopmati, the Snake Queen – characters were interesting and the show was awe-inspiring.


2. Hip Hip Hurray
A cult show about a bunch of twelfth graders.  It struck a chord with millions of youngsters. Feisty Kiran, assertive Alisha, intelligent Mona or absolutely goofy Cyrus. It was a super cool high school show.


3. Shanti
Our very own Mandira Bedi became a popular example of woman's strength. Trying to solve the rape case of her mother and getting her rapists punished, she was full never say die attitude . Before she became household name with her noodle strap,  she popularized cotton suits, large Bindis and well defined eyes.


4. Mahabharat
A huge cast, big sets, shudhh hindi dialogues and its war sequence. No one can get it out of one's mind. It has been favourite among young and old equally.

5. Alif Laila
Based on the stories of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’, ‘Alif Laila’ used to whet our appetites for fantastic story-telling.
6. Dekh Bhai Dekh
Is rang badalti duniya mein kya tera hai kya mera hai....Dekh Bhai Dekh. Shekhar Suman, Sushma Seth, Navin Nischol, Farida Jalal, Bhavana Balsavar, Vishal Singh, Nattasha Singh, Amar Upadhyay, Deven Bhojani and Urvashi Dholakia, you just name the actors. Most amazing part of the show was the way Shekhar Suman managed to slide in exact manner in every episode.
7.  Hum Paanch
Prior to her venture in 'saas bahu' serials Ekta Kapoor came up with a show which ruled hearts of many youngsters and kids. Five dysfunctional daughters and a talking portrait of a dead wife, what else one can ask for comedy?
8. Captain Vyom
Milind Soman, the hottest man on ramp, trying to save Earth from the bad guys.  All the hotties from the 90s starred in this sci-fi series Nethra Raghuraman, Dino Morea, Madhu Sapre, Rahul Bose and more acted in this one.
9. Shaktimaan
Shaktimaan was seriously one of the coolest Indian superheroes for the 90s generation. There are probably a number of you who even bought his costume, did you? 'Sorry Shaktimaan' was a phrase which became widely popular among kids.
10. Just Mohabbat
Growing up years of a young boy Jai and his relationship with his friends, family and even his imaginary friend Gautam used to get us glued to the TV in the 90s.
11. Surbhi
Namaskaar!! The energizing smiles and a warm welcome/greeting,  Renuka Shahane and Siddharth Kak can be termed as best hosts till date, without doubt. They  could get children and youngsters appreciate art and culture of our country. In fact, it holds the distinction of being India's longest-running cultural series and features in the Limca Book of Records for receiving the largest measured audience response ever in the history of Indian television.

12. Chitrahaar
The way we used to hope that they play our favorite songs, we don’t see that kind of desperation nowadays. Those used to be fun evenings.


13. Tehkikaat
Sam D’Silva and his sidekick Gopichand trying to solve gruesome cases and murder mysteries. 


14. Boogie Woogie
With Javed Jaffrey, Ravi Behl and later Naved Jaffrey, ‘Boogie Woogie’ was the original dance reality show of Indian Television. Many talented dancers and choreographers have got their first break on this stage.

15. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
A show which made our evenings melodious and gave us some amazing singers like Shreya Ghoshal.
