Grand Slam Baseball organized India's First "Intro to Baseball" Summer Camp for children aged 5-18 years at Central Secretariat, Ground no 1, Vinay Marg, opposite Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri.

The orientation classes started from 4th June 2014. The Charges are 400 per hour and there are three sessions in a week on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday in June from 4- 7 pm.

Prospective players will be clubbed with American Embassy School’s baseball league called New Delhi Little League. Both leagues are working together to proliferate the number of Indian baseball players.
The coaches conducting the camp are trained from Doyle Academy, Florida, USA and The Equipment is sponsored by Nike, USA. Talented players that are selected will play for Delhi's first baseball/softball league and will also play International tournaments in Phillipines and USA.

The selection of two completely inexperienced Indians as professional baseball players has turned the eyes of the world to India as the new hotbed for baseball talent after USA and Japan. Recently, Disney came up with a movie called “Million Dollar Arm” depicting the story of these Indian baseball players. Since baseball has a similar prerequisite skill set to cricket (throwing, catching, hitting), India seems to inherently be equipped with the potential to generate professional baseball players.

We are pleased to see more than 40 enrollments on the first day of camp and are expecting more children to join in.” Raunaq Sahni, Co-Founder, Grand Slam Baseball
